- Historical records highlight the recommendations made by Dr. H.R. Bustard, a crocodile conservation expert deputed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), for establishing crocodile sanctuaries in Andhra Pradesh.
